Welcome Athletic Brewing Company as GMC’s Newest Corporate Sponsor

June 18, 2020 by GMC Staff Leave a Comment

Athletic Brewing LogoAll of us at the Green Mountain Club are so excited to announce Athletic Brewing Company as a new Corporate Sponsor at the Camel’s Hump $15,000 level.

“Athletic Brewing Company’s support is an incredible investment into the mountains and trails of Vermont, which is so important as more and more people are getting outside to experience the Long Trail System. We are grateful to Athletic Brewing Company for their generosity and look forward to working with them on and off the trail,” says our Executive Director Mike DeBonis.

The Camel’s Hump sponsorship includes underwriting a week of trail work on the Long Trail. Each year, the Green Mountain Club has critical seasonal field staff apply technical skill and knowledge to  build and maintain miles of heavily used sections of trail. The Green Mountain Club is committed to maintaining a high-quality hiking experience across the high mountain summits and working forest lands, while protecting the natural resources that make the Long Trail such a unique hiking experience. Support for this work is provided by public and private funding, including corporate sponsorships from companies such as Athletic Brewing Company.

Founded by a Middlebury College graduate, Athletic Brewing Co. values great tasting non-alcoholic beer as much as getting outside and being active. With the Two for the Trails program, Athletic Brewing Co. donates 2% of all sales dollars to maintaining trails and parks around the country.

ABC Trail Work“Athletic teammates have spent quite a bit of time on trails and ski slopes in Vermont, with one of our teammates even knocking down the full Long Trail! That’s why we’re thrilled to be partnering with the Green Mountain Club and to roll up our sleeves along with the community for multiple trail work days, helping to ensure the Long Trail is available for adventuring for generations to come.” -Bill Shufelt, founder Athletic Brewing Company

Athletic Brewing Company is committed to financially supporting the Green Mountain Club, but also looks forward to their time to help with some upcoming service projects on the trail. Thank you, Athletic Brewing Company!
