Welcome Athletic Brewing Company as GMC’s Newest Corporate Sponsor

Athletic Brewing LogoAll of us at the Green Mountain Club are so excited to announce Athletic Brewing Company as a new Corporate Sponsor at the Camel’s Hump $15,000 level.

“Athletic Brewing Company’s support is an incredible investment into the mountains and trails of Vermont, which is so important as more and more people are getting outside to experience the Long Trail System. We are grateful to Athletic Brewing Company for their generosity and look forward to working with them on and off the trail,” says our Executive Director Mike DeBonis.

The Camel’s Hump sponsorship includes underwriting a week of trail work on the Long Trail. Each year, the Green Mountain Club has critical seasonal field staff apply technical skill and knowledge to  build and maintain miles of heavily used sections of trail. The Green Mountain Club is committed to maintaining a high-quality hiking experience across the high mountain summits and working forest lands, while protecting the natural resources that make the Long Trail such a unique hiking experience. Support for this work is provided by public and private funding, including corporate sponsorships from companies such as Athletic Brewing Company.

Founded by a Middlebury College graduate, Athletic Brewing Co. values great tasting non-alcoholic beer as much as getting outside and being active. With the Two for the Trails program, Athletic Brewing Co. donates 2% of all sales dollars to maintaining trails and parks around the country.

Join a guided hike on the Short Trail this summer!

Join the Green Mountain Club’s Visitor Services Manager, Emily Mosher, for a hike on the Short Trail! Learn more about hiking in Vermont, the Long Trail and the Green Mountain Club, and tips to have a successful hike as we explore the 0.5 mile loop at GMC’s headquarters building in Waterbury Center. These hikes are open to hikers of all ages, from beginner day hiker to seasoned backpacker. Hikes take place on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 10am, and on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 2pm. Allow about an hour with plenty of stops to explore.
