We know your summer plans are likely different than you hoped, so we want to help you make the best of it. GMC is going to spend the summer providing suggested hikes around the state, in hopes that you get out and HikeVT!
Each week, we are going to share a suggested easy, moderate, difficult, and accessible hike from around Vermont. The suggestions will have everything you need: directions, descriptions, and places to visit along the way. This week we have a selection of hikes from the Camel’s Hump area that we want you to check out!
This week we’re featuring three hikes that all start on Duxbury Road in Bolton, Vermont. Our accessible recommendation this week is also in Bolton, starting at the Long Trail Footbridge over the Winooski River on Duxbury Road.
- Gleason Brook Bridge on the Long Trail – EASY
- Duxbury Window on the Long Trail – MODERATE
- Bamforth Ridge Shelter on the Long Trail – DIFFICULT
- Winooski River Footbridge – EASY, ACCESSIBLE
Hiking is an amazing way to reconnect to nature (and take a break from virtual meetings) and we’re here to help make that happen. And remember, we have updated guidelines to help keep you safe while you HikeVT. If you have any questions, feel free to email or call us (802-244-7037).
