Erica Harris

erica harris staff picErica moved to the Green Mountain State in 2019, and is excited to be a part of the GMC team as the Development Assistant. Brought up in California, she gained an early love for mountain trails and the natural world. Since then she has been enjoying learning the wide range of Eastern plants and experiencing the drama of four (plus) seasons every year. Before landing at GMC, Erica worked for environmental non-profits and land trusts in California’s Sierra Nevada and New York’s Hudson Valley, and earned a Master’s degree in Geography from Penn State. She and husband Lucas live in Vergennes with their son Jasper and goofy pup Zimri, and enjoy getting outdoors for trail runs, winter ski tours, and gravel bike rides (which always seem to lead them to a local brewery or two). Erica also enjoys baking bread, learning to garden, and pursuing her quest for Vermont’s best burrito!
