Anne M. Janeway has lived in Norwich, Vermont, for thirty years, enjoying the outdoors on skis, snowshoes, foot, bike and boat. Her family has been active with the GMC since 1980. She is an Adirondack 46-er, and leads summer trips for the Adirondack Trail Improvement Society, where she worked as a wilderness counselor in Keene Valley, New York. She has been on the board of the Upper Valley Trails Alliance, and she leads outings for the Ottauquechee Section.
Anne loves the camaraderie, intergenerational relations, and natural and geographical discovery of GMC activities. Her golden retriever Skye often goes on GMC outings, and also enjoys making new trail friends.
Anne is the director of development for the Concord Community Music School in New Hampshire. She has worked in administration and development at her alma mater, Middlebury College; and at Vermont Law School and Kimball Union Academy.
Anne seeks board membership to honor her parents’ legacy of involvement in the club and to continue the tradition of member input and leadership that is essential to its vitality.
